Before I became pregnant with Violet I had a great memory, now not so much. I am lucky if I remember what I ate for breakfast. I have been struggling with the memories to share, should they be the really big memories or the smaller ones? I am going to do a mix of them.
#1. My First Day of School. I started kindergarten the day before my 5th birthday. I was always a nervous kid and I remember that my mom followed my school bus all the way from the bus stop to school. I remeber sitting in the back of the bus waving to her. When I was on the playground she got out of her car and made sure I was okay. She was and is the best mom I know. As a mom myself I wonder if she did ot just as much for me as herself. I don't even want to think about Violet going to school.

#2. This Picture of Marc & I. We had been dating for almost three months, this was Memorial Day weekend 2006. We had a great weekend, going for drives, going to this silly Asian store that Marc loves. He bought me this tassel that has bead animals that still hangs in my car. We had a lobster dinner. It was just one of those perfect, new love, wonderful weekends.
#3. My First Trip to Disney. If you can believe, I don't have any pictures of this trip. They are all at my parents house. We drove to Florida in April 1988 in a Winnebago with my grandparents, uncle and my family. I was 5, my brother turned 3 on the trip, I also came down with the chicken pox. I am pretty sure my intense love of Disney comes from this trip as I had to stay back at the camp site with my grandmother when others went to the park.
#4. Violet's Birth. I haven't posted Violet's birth story yet and I hope to in the future. It sure is memorable, it didn't go as planned at all and I ended up with a c-section. I was so drugged up it is a miracle that I stayed awake during the surgery. As you can see in the picture my eyes are closed or barely opened. I thought they were open when the nurse snapped. Ha!
#5. Small, Medium, Large Black Coffee. Growing up, my parents would take us to look at Christmas lights every year. Sometimes we stopped at Dunkin Donuts for coffee and hot chocolate. One year we went through the drive thru and my dad ordered a "small........medium......large....black coffee." It makes me laugh every time I think about it. Hilarious, he paused between each word. He claims that it was my brother and I goofing off in the backseat that had him distracted but my mom says it was just him looking at the menu. Whenever coffee is being mentioned we usually tease my dad about his small medium large black coffee.
#6. Our Wedding Day. I didn't want a wedding, I was all for a small ceremony or a destination wedding or heck a trip to the courthouse but Marc wanted one. When it comes down to it I just wanted to be married to Marc and I never want to forget how happy that day was.
