Violet, Violet, Violet. You are 19 months old today. I can't believe it. You are officially closer to turning 2 than you are to when you turned 1. You have been a joy and handful this month. With learning new things comes testing limits and you give your poor mama a run for her money.
You are learning new things so fast. It also amazes me that you can say something like bucket out of the blue and at the right time. You have counted to 4 and you know a few colors. Blue, yellow and pink. Blue is your favorite to say.
You say hi mama a lot, so I started saying hi baby in response. Now you say hi mama, hi baby in rapid succession. It is adorable. You love books, especially one that has pictures of all sort of things. You point to each object and name them. You think all zebras are "Ziggy" after you Ziggy the zebra nene.
You really love your friends. You are starting to call them by their names...or your version of their names and you love to play with them.
You also love playing with your cousin Oliver.
You love animals, cats, dog, goats, everything!
I have been letting you walk the path outside our building to the door without holding my hand. You are so proud when I say walk to the door. You run as fast as you can to beat me there and wait patiently for me.
You have been having a hard time sleeping at night again. Not sure if it is teething or just a phase.
You HATE getting dressed and having your hair done. You thrash around and cry. It's a new thing within the last week and I hope it stops as quickly as it started.
You are a daredevil. You climb on everything, it doesn't phase you when you fall. Our couch and chairs have become your indoor jungle gym. You never stop moving and playing. I wonder where all the energy comes from.
We love you so much Violet Jane. You are such a sweetheart and we love watching you grow and learn. It would be awesome if you wanted to sleep through the night again...just putting it out there.
