Index Card Memory Calendar

I have seen this idea floating around Pinterest numerous times and decided that since I want to start Project Life this year that it would be a good time to start this for our little family.

I bought all my supplies at Target except the container, Dollar Tree. I probably didn't need the pretty ones but I am an office supply dork.

This is the easiest project ever....ever. I don't have a date stamp so I just wrote the dates. You need an index card for each day if the year.

Then you just list the year on the first line and write a memory, event, random fact about that day. For example...I hope that September 3, 2013 will say " Marc surprised me with a trip to Disney for my 31st birthday!" Yay! A girl can dream. So then next year, we will write 2014 on the next line and so on and so on.

I used the peel and stick filing tabs and colored index cards to make monthly dividers. When you are making your index cards don't forget February 29th for leap years!

I put all my cards in and the last thing I did was make a place card of sorts to mark what day we are on and wrote a corny saying on it which is very unlike me, must of been the diet coke I was drinking.

I am happy with how it turned out and when I showed Marc he really liked it too. I think we are going to try to write our sentence down during dinner and if we keep this up as Violet gets older she can help us.

Happy New Year!

  3. I did this but in photo form, which I prefer. It's an app called project 365. You can add a statement to each pic. I love it!
