Look at that cuteness! I love it. The whole ensemble was quite easy to make.
Supplies:
- Onesie, long sleeve or short sleeve. You can also use a t-shirt.
- Big Bow, check out my tutorial HERE.
- Tulle or ribbon
- Elastic or ribbon for tutu waistband
- Stained by Sharpie markers
Next up was the tutu. I made a half tutu. I didn't need it to be full all the way around because I made the tutu for a photo op, not an outside/everyday outfit. I used a light purple tulle along with a darker organza ribbon. There are a billion and one tutorials one making tutus so I am not going to go into detail. Basically cut your tulle to the desired length and tie it to your waistband. For this one I used a white satin ribbon, so it is an apron like tutu, it works well for little ones like Violet. I tie it around her waist and make a bow. If you can see it in the pictures I knotted the ends of the darker organza to give the tutu a little pop.
The last step in making the ensemble was the big boutique bow, tutorial here.
I am happy that I took the time to make this. Violet has started to be known for her bow wearing, though she doesn't wear such large bows everyday.
I love this one, her little feet look so adorable.
